What rock lights do (and why clean installs matter)

Rock lights add bright, wide illumination under your vehicle for trail visibility, work lighting, and show-ready glow. The difference between “looks good for a week” and “works for years” is wiring quality: routing, sealing, fusing, and mounting.

  • Even coverage under the frame & wheel wells (no dark spots).
  • Protected wiring (heat/abrasion protection, clean routing, sealed connections).
  • Correct fusing so your system is safe and dependable.
  • Control options: Bluetooth controllers, factory AUX integration, or a dedicated switch panel.
Want to pair rock lights with vehicle underglow for a full “glow package”? Check out our Vehicle Underglow Lighting page.

  • Control: Bluetooth apps, factory AUX integrations, or aftermarket switch panels.
  • Add-ons: Pair rock lights with vehicle underglow, or step up to auxiliary lighting for distance/spread.

Tennessee law does not specifically prohibit rock lights or underbody lighting. However, how they’re used matters: solid colors like white or amber are commonly used, while flashing red or blue should be avoided on public roads. We’ll help you choose a setup that’s functional, clean, and responsible. If you’re also considering underbody glow, see Vehicle Underglow Lighting.
It depends on your vehicle and goals. 4 lights is basic coverage, 8 lights offers more complete underbody glow, and 12 or more is common for show builds or heavy night trail use. We can recommend the best layout for your Jeep, Bronco, Tacoma, 4Runner, truck, or UTV. Check the comparison section above or message us for a quick recommendation.
Yes — rock lights can often be wired to factory AUX switches on compatible vehicles. If factory AUX isn’t an option (or you want a cleaner expandable system), we can install an aftermarket switch panel or controller that keeps everything organized.
Professional installation ensures clean wiring, proper fuse protection, secure mounting, and reliable performance — reducing the risk of flickering lights, shorts, or battery drain. If you’re building a complete lighting setup, we can also add auxiliary lights for distance and underglow for a clean custom look.
Yes. We regularly install customer-supplied kits and make sure everything is mounted securely and wired safely for dependable use. If you also want to add a switch system, check out Switch Panel Installation.
Absolutely. We install rock lights on Ford Broncos, Toyota Tacomas, 4Runners, trucks, and UTVs — not just Jeeps. The layout and wiring plan is customized to your frame/body style and how you use the vehicle.
Most installs take a few hours depending on the number of pods, routing complexity, and whether you’re adding a controller or switch panel. We’ll give you a clear time estimate when you request a quote.
